I know we all have our favourite tech guys to look after our bikes, but these lads really stand out for me.
Gmac – He’s always amazingly generous with his advice given some of the insane questions I and others ask him, his technical knowledge is up there with the best of them. He may be a cranky fecker sometimes but that’s why we love him, he is a huge asset to the club. Stew of Sprocket Cycles – Only have recent experience since his shop opened but have been blown away with his thoroughness, attention to detail and professionalism. He’ll take his time and you know it will be done right. I can’t believe I have him on my doorstep. A non EPICurian I would rate at the top as well is Robin, who in the past has looked after my bike as if his own. Amazing knowledge as you would expect and an uncanny ability to fix problems that may outfox many others. If he can’t sort it out you may as well burn the bike. I know people may have others, but these are my Golden Gods.

Oh I do! Whenever I have a problem related to door furniture or beating parts of my bike with rocks only one name comes to mind.

I retract yesterdays comments, they were in bad taste
Don is my graphic design god In fact, I almost forgot to say, I was in Glentress (Scotland) on Sunday and I saw a lad riding the trails with a sweater knoted about his shoulders.... and Don, I thought of you, I'm sorry but I did.

what's that. if the lump hammer won't fix it, then it's fcuked. you have the patience of a crack addict, waiting for a hit. man when you try and fix something, i usually laugh my hole off. as you freak out, it's actually funny and scary all in one.

The Bikerack has always been very good to me over the years so Al Maxwell, James and Paul will always get my vote.. Al is always able to sort out any tech issues I have.. He's a passionate and savage DH'er, he knows his stuff, always get the bits I want whether its tools or spare parts.. If I have a problem I can't fix he is the first person I'll turn too..
James is a savage wheelbuilder and the only guy I trust to do my I9 wheels (even though he hates them..!) Paul is a savage mechanic and a sexy beast too.. he's just pure DH eye candy.. one of the most stylish riders out there..! Oh.. and I've been hearing nothing but good things about the service from Sprocket Cycles in Bray too..
