Weekend XC away recommendations???

I'm hoping to take a long weekend away in Europe at start of September and would welcome any suggestions on where to go for good XC, warm weather and stuff to keep herself occupied when i'm on the bike....

Check out Corsica. not to hot in September still warm. Plenty of mountains in the middle of the island surrounded by beaches . good camping also. Cheap enough to rent a car in off season and nice wine.
