National Trails Days will be held on Sunday 28th September 2008 with the objectives of:
· Promoting an awareness of the recreation trails (walking and biking) and allied outdoor recreation facilities that are currently available in Ireland
· Promoting an understanding of the need to manage and resource our trails and other facilities
· Promotion and awareness of the work of all key agencies in delivering trails and other facilities

The Mountainbike Association of Dublin (MADMTB) will be hosting the mountainbike session of the National Trails Day at Ballinastoe, Co. Wicklow on Sunday 28th September 2008 and will be guiding people around the various off-road trails and providing tips and information on how to get the best out of your mountainbiking experience.

This will also be the first of 3 beginner-specific courses that the MADMTB club will be running in the Autumn.
The subsequent 2 sessions will likely be run on Saturday 4th October and Saturday 11th October but be sure to checkout www.madmtb.com (http://www.madmtb.com/) for the latest details.

The mountainbiking session will start at 11am and finish at approx 2pm.
All participants are request to arrive in good time and to ensure they have helmets and their bikes are in full working order.

People should also bring a bicycle pump and spare tube, a drink and a small snack (eg; muesli bar etc..). A rain jacket may also be needed but hopefully the weather will be kind!

Directions to Ballinastoe are on the Coillte Outdoors website (http://www.coillteoutdoors.ie/index.php?id=53&rec_site=103&no_cache=1).
Map (http://www.madmtb.com/maps/map_djouce_ballinastoe_carpark.htm) also posted on the MADMTB website.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
