Ever since the mudfest of tymon park my freehub no longer freewheels, so i need to do some taking apart, some hammering, gouging, cleaning and forcing back together.

The hub is a DT Cerit i believe (wheels came off an XTC Carbon which i think a few of ye guys have).

Has anyone every stripped down one of these hubs? Can't find any information on it online, even on the DT Swiss site.

Any info appreciated .. even if its just the best place to hit it with a hammer!

remove the cassette, pop the cap off the axle on the cassette side the freehub body will slide off the axle clean inside. Its obvious how it works once its opened. reasemble with a light coating of grease the lighter the grease the better. Too much or too heavy a grease and your problems will still be there.

Cheers Al.

Is that a gentle pop the cap off with your fingers, or a cursing fit while levering it with a screwdriver/crowbar?

a gentle levering with a small screw driver. Or gently clamp in a vice and tap the wheel upwards
