There was a lot of discussion about this a while back, I ran into the same problem a few days ago. I think the previous solution involved titanium precision drill bits, KY jelly and lasers or something. My solution involved throwing the shoes in the bin, after all they were held together by mud and sweat and the cleats were nothing but rounded stumps. I think I hosed them down once.

The new ones arrive today, I think they are silver and black, they will either be very cool or very gay, and I suspect the later, somewhat like Canadian Sean's Michael Jackson gloves...

Yeah after all that talk of tungsten carbide drill bits, different drill speeds and drill presses I ended up using an old rusty hack saw that was lying at the back of the shed which did the trick.

Ahh, many's the DIY job that has been saved/bodged by the old rusty hack saw.

I'm glad someone has taken the initiative and told Bunny the truth... everyone knows stripy gloves are the fookin cheese...
