Ladies Training days with Glyn O'Brien

Hey ladies, Beth and I are looking to run a couple of Women Specific training days with Glyn, if you are interested let me know, this is open to ladies of any age group from any Club,

get yourselfs signed up to this as soon as possible. Glyns training days are great he really knows what he's doing and you'll finish the day with some new found skills and a grin on your face.

Ok the dates are 9th February or 8th of March..both are Saturdays..I've asked him to do intermediate to XC Skills..as Al says you cannot go wrong with instruction from Glyn..If there is interest in Specific DH training I can organise that as well..
Let me know asap please so I can book one or other of the days..hey it woould be great if we could get so many we can book both days,
It'll probably take place in Rostrevor forest

Thanks to all who organised the Training Day with Glyn O'Brien.

It was a great day.

Glyn knows his stuff and has super ability to teach technique and help you improve your mtb skills.

We covered; switchbacks ,increasing speed, loading and unloading yr bke, jumps and loads more........

For anyone thats interested in improving their mtb madness, newry is the place and Glyn is your man!!!!

Hi im really interested in learning dh and these training days sound perfect but ive just got two questions:

1) Are there any training sessions in the dublin area?
and
2) Are you able to rent a proper bike if you dont have the right one for the day?

Unfortunatly no bikes available to rent but bring whatever bike you have along (as long as its something that somewhat useable) and we can see what we can do about teaching you a few bits about dh.

Can someone tell me how to find bigwood when i get to newry?

go to newry keep on the main road head past the shopping centres head over the bridge and take the right for warrenpoint. Follow that road out along the side of the river. Go straight through a roundabout and head up the road for about 2-3 miles theres a forest on the left thats big wood. Keep an eye out for an entrance on your left witha sign for Clada( i think) Quary. Turn in and park up.

Great day up there today!!! Lovely trails in Big Wood & loads of fun...
We had the best weather EVER!!! Sun non-stop... i was roasted & toasted :-)

Glyn was fab at explaining all the stuff, well done for puttin up with us :-)
Super gang out altogether, well done all!

Some deadly cornering, fun at the jumps and very impressive fashion styles up in Newry: Leopardskin shinpads!!! Fancy that!!! And it weren't the girls wearing that *haha*

Ash did a fab job with her camera :-) so bring on the pics missus

fantastic trails up there, the sun was beating down and it was great to meet up with some of the girls from other clubs, a really fun group.

Thanks a million Richie for organising a great training day.....and the sunny weather;) Thanks to Glyn for all the tips and for putting up with our girlie chatter. I had a brilliant day yesterday, learned loads of new stuff and it was really good to see all the girls riding really well and giving it socks on the jumps and drops!!
